Build 26 Dallas: an event site, Stripe ticketing and the ads to fill it.

A two-day real estate training event needed one partner to build the website, take ticket payments and bring people to it. I built the site and ticketing, designed the landing page and ran the Meta campaign.

The brief

One partner for the site, the payments and the traffic.

The organisers wanted a single place where people could learn about the event, choose a ticket and pay, without sending them to a third-party ticketing site. They also wanted sponsors to have their own route in, and a campaign to get the event in front of the right people.

Splitting that across a web designer, a ticketing platform and an ads agency would have meant three handovers and nobody owning the whole path from ad to checkout. I took on all of it.

What I built

From the first ad click to a paid ticket.

01 · Website

Event website

A WordPress and Elementor site arranged so the decision to register sits above everything else: speakers, agenda and ticket tiers, with a countdown to the event.

  • Event and speaker pages
  • Clear ticket tiers
  • Mobile-first layout

02 · Payments

Ticketing connected to Stripe

A ticket flow built into the site, so buyers stay on build26dallas.com from choosing a ticket to paying for it.

  • General admission and VIP tickets
  • Order and checkout pages
  • Stripe payment processing
  • Separate sponsor enquiry page

03 · Demand

Landing page and Meta ads

A “Why Join” campaign sending paid traffic to a page built for the event, with the Meta pixel tracking every landing page view.

  • Landing page design
  • Campaign setup with Advantage+ audience
  • Pixel and page-view tracking

Who responded

The campaign found its audience: women 55 and over.

Advantage+ audience let Meta look beyond the starting targeting. The strongest response came from women, especially in the 55–64 and 65+ age groups, which is useful targeting knowledge for the next event.

Share of landing page views by gender

Women

77%

Cost per result $0.04

Men

22%

Cost per result $0.06

What this tells the organisers

  • Lead future creative and messaging with this audience in mind.
  • Older age groups responded most, so the landing page should stay easy to read and simple to act on.
  • At $0.04 per view, the campaign can scale with a bigger budget before costs become the problem.

Where visitors landed

Traffic reached every part of the ticket path.

The site recorded 6,679 sessions from May to September 2026. Most started on the homepage, and visitors also arrived directly on the ticket, sponsor and event pages. People who reached the event page stayed the longest.
